Is my voice recorded or uploaded?
Only the 5-second test is recorded, and only if you click the button. It stays in your browser and is deleted when you leave the page. Nothing is uploaded.
The bar doesn’t move. What should I check?
Check the mute switch on your headset, pick a different microphone in the list, make sure no other app is using it, and confirm the browser is allowed under your system’s microphone privacy settings.
What level is good?
Normal speech should mostly stay in the green area, peaking around -20 to -6 dB. If it hits the red end, move back or lower the input volume to avoid distortion.
