How do I mirror a selfie?

Does rotating reduce quality?
90° turns and flips keep every pixel. Other angles need slight smoothing, and a JPG is re-saved at high quality.
My photo looks sideways on another device — why?
Phones sometimes store rotation as a hidden tag. Saving here bakes the rotation into the pixels, so it looks right everywhere.
